I'm reaching out to any of you who have done this whole job, or part, in any way aside from stock replacement. I'm just planning ahead and bouncing ideas, but many of you Toyota guys know so many ways to go about it.

i have been slowly upgrading and modifying or strengthening bits as i live with the truck. new clutch is going in pretty soon and I'll be enjoying the grab & feel of my new stage 2 clutch through the miserable weaksauce Tacoma pedal assembly. i want to replace it, or something. I'm also looking at doing the MC as part of it.

    any ideas or experience?

I vaguely recall someone swapping a clutch pedal from an FJ into a Tacoma, thinking it's steel instead of plastic.

Do you feel our clutch assembly is weak? Or you wanting to mod and upgrade all at once?
    Curious mind..

Besides mine squeaking, and lazy ass accumulator, it feels OK to me. I've actually grown to like the squeak.. Ha!

Please follow up to this thread if you find any info! Been curious about this for a while. Would love to swap some metal pedals in at some point. Billet with like a chrome finish would look sweet

cool. i've emailed my guy (Pablo at Tandem) to see if he's done one in a Tacoma. pretty sure it will be "yeah, dozens of 2nd gens..." but not sure yet. this may be the solution.
i can, and am, dealing with it. it's not a functional problem, there is no compromise to driveability or any of that. it's just that, as i upgrade the truck, all the little things smooth out and offer up more detail, feel, and solidity. i love it, always have, it's one of the main reasons i modify my vehicles, for the driving feel and performance. so, in my driveline now and when the new clutch goes in, the weak link in the whole chain is exactly the pedal and MC now. and it stands out like a sore thumb.

So will the TSB fix. Not sure if it applies to '18 or newer, but it did to my '17.
