Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse here. Installed Total Chaos UCA's and OME 887's over the weekend. Alignment shop said this is as close as they can get because the LCA's are seized.

Should I be worried about tire wear given the specs below? Thanks in advance.

    OME 887's

that's kind of messed up with your camber discrepancy. get that taken care of. that kind of thing becomes a nightmare in emergency maneuvers.

I’ll assume no lift and close to factory size tires.

OME 887's w/ Bilsteins up front so about 2.5 inches of lift. 285/70/65 tires.

Imo your gonna want 3.5-4 degrees of caster.

I'm still an amateur at this so forgive me. Positive caster is going to move the wheel "forward" to prevent fender rubbing? Do I understand that correctly?

We did the BMC when I put the 285's on and I haven't had an issue, with new alignment Ive got a slight rub on right front.

Cams could be seized in which case you'll need to get that fixed to get good numbers.

You actually had better caster numbers before they aligned it than you did after IMO. But that camber needs to get fixed

Correct . Positive caster will the tire forward. Helping with the cab mount rubbing. It also improves drivability. I have 3” lift with 285/70/17 on 17x8.5 -10.had my alignment guy set toe at .5 positive toe , 0 camber and 4 degrees caster. It drive great. Although some alignment guys won’t set it up out of specs.

correct, more positive caster via the lower cams will help prevent pinch weld rubbing by pushing the wheel forward a bit. I resolved my rubbing issues that way by going from 1.5˚ caster to 3˚.

I broke the cams loose this morning before I sent it (which was a bitch BTW). I'm thinking the caster of the wheel is causing the rub, but concerned the camber will cause tire wear.

Might be time for a new alignment shop.

You need to replace the LCA bushings and cam bolts then get it realigned. The off camber will wear out the tires.

yeah, the reason you're rubbing after your alignment is because they reduced your caster from almost 4˚ to 2.5˚

If it's a place like Firestone then chances are they are going 'by the book' and aiming for Toyota's alignment spec numbers which no longer apply to your truck since it's lifted with aftermarket parts. You need a proper alignment done that suits your specific vehicle and a lot of times chain stores like Firestone won't do that (some will, most won't in my experience).

I have a local 4x4 shop that does alignments near me and they do a fantastic job, I just tell them the numbers I want and they make it happen. Little pricey but worth it.

I bought the Firestone lifetime package deal a few years ago before I knew better and I rarely use it anymore. If I just need a toe 'n go alignment I'll take it to them but that's about it.

Yeah my alignment is great. Just like your guys, here are the numbers I want and he sets it just how I want it.
