Sucks it’s not a diesel, but the only reason it’s here legally is probably because it’s got the 2.7L...

    Beautiful truck though!

Well that's shitty. Why 30K here....? Because they can. I actually meant to quote the other. I know a diesel here would be 40+

If they were a cheaper option it would be better. It seems like maunufac. have abandoned the idea of selling a cheaper car to more people vs. a more expensive to a select few.

Also regulations and customer expectations , We in the USA demand airbags, bsm, tpms etc and also they would consider something LOADED that is equivilent to say a SR5, we also value comfort more than other countries

Zero reason to own it, they really aren't that special, plus registering and insurance would be painful.

Double cab, stick shift, 2WD Toyota--I tried to buy that combination here in 2004. Wasn't available, salesman said they weren't made. Bought a Nissan instead.

There are a lot of people wanting a DX type 2wd, 5 lug 4cyl. 5 spd. compact.
They just won't make 10K a truck in profit.
If I could buy that Hilux new for under 25, I'd be in it.
