i have water coming in though the driver side door speaker. Anyone else have this problem? I’m assuming it’s the window rubber. Would that be covered under warranty. Thanks for any input

I can't think of anything else it could be and it should be covered.

Did you by chance remove the water shield in the door? Water does get in the doors and then goes out the drain holes in the bottom.

I recently replaced the speakers in the door but I did not touch the water shield on the door at all. And I was getting water in before I did the speakers

Possibly the drains at the bottom of the door is clogged.
Take a look to see if there is debris blocking the water from draining.

I just ordered 6x9 silicone speaker cover I’m concerned that the water will ruin my new Kicker speakers

Water drips down the window and into the door, this is normal. But.... the factory speakers have small magnets that dont get dripped on. Aftermarket speakers do get dripped on. I had a set of speakers fill with water because of this. I ended up ordering those 6x9 foam speaker cups, cut the bottoms out of them and installing them. No problem now.

I just ordered the Metra silicon rubber speaker cups I’m hoping that will fix the problem. Good to know it worked for you

One thing you should keep in mind is that if you seal the speaker with those cups, the speakers will sound like trash. They need the air space of the whole door to sound their best. Your best bet is to cut the bottom of the speaker cups. You can test though first, instal one of the cups and play your speakers. Compare left and right sides to listen to how it sounds.
