I am reading mixed reviews about this device, I was thinking of buying one but some people complain about it throws faults on their trucks. So good or bad, proceed with caution?
Would like some feed back on this forum

I would buy OVTune instead, people seem to prefer that over pedal commander on here.
What you need to ask yourself is, is it worth saving a few bucks if it has a higher chance of causing issues?
The OVTune thread(s) that exist here should be all the info you need in that system.

Wouldn't hurt to send them an email and see if they support your vehicle. I asked about a 2018 Camry and they said they have the ability so who knows what they can do outside of the V6 Tacoma.

i agree with this, i would buy OV, but i'm not sure if the i4 is released for the current gen. if not, i would go for the Pedal Commander, but check with them first to be sure you have the correct model for your truck. i don't know about the i4's, but Toyota recently changed throttle harness design on the V6 Tacomas and not every PC fits every truck since the harness may be different. there are also wired vs. bluetooth.

i got the PC after i got my truck 3 yrs back because the ECU programming was so bad i was having a very hard time driving my MT with no good throttle control. originally they sent me the wrong unit, so i got on the phone with them and they got me a new unit with the right harness.

the PC was absolutely great and kept me from selling the truck. it was so miserable to drive i had to do something or sell it. PC saved me the truck. but it was a band aid, so when OV came up i dropped the PC and went for the actual fix, which is great and can't compare.

i personally never had any kind of fault code or any of that. it was straight up good and no complaints at all, worked exactly as advertised.

I purchased the Sprint Booster brand after reading many reviews. The thing that sold me was the option to set and disconnect the remote after finding my best setting for me.
Works like a dream on my little i4.

I’ve had a pedal commander, a shift sense pro, and an ovtune.

If you have the money, then the tune might be the best. But it all depends on what issue you are trying to solve.

If it was me, and this is what I did, I’d buy the pedal commander first. It’s a lot cheaper and you can sell it with not a huge loss If you don’t like it. That’ll only fix the throttle response thought. If you don’t like the shifting then maybe the shift sense is what you need.

The pedal commander made a nice difference when I had it.

All depends on what you want to spend. :)

With the sprint booster, codes popped up because you didnt habe it plugged all the way in. The sprintbooster, although a placebo is great. With ovtune, you may jump up to 91 octane so consider the pinch on your wallet. Ovtune is overall better because it actually unleashes the truck and the constant improvements and updates

I kept it simple and got the Pedal Commander since I was only looking for a better throttle response. Of course I know that it doesn’t add any horsepower but let’s you control throttle response better with how little force you give on the gas. Been working fine for quite some time now with zero fault codes. It really helps getting the truck moving from a standstill. The most aggressive mode really jerks you forward and I try to avoid it since I don’t want to increase the chances of rear ending someone

For the record...sprint booster and pedal commander do the same things but i think the sb is smaller thus less intrusive

I have the Pedal Commander... Simple, inexpensive and easy to disable. No error codes on ‘19 sport. I drive it in sport mode and disable it when someone/wife uses the truck.
