It was 99* actual, 102* index yesterday all time high for the month of October. Supposedly we are going to break that today. Supposed to get a break at the end of the week.

97F high tomorrow then two days later 75F as the high Saturday. 20F difference in 2 days.

Saturday is aerating and seeding the yard day finally. Usually would’ve done that 2-3 weeks ago. Too damn hot.

91 here today, 54 tomorrow!!! The weather is confused. I’m headed to NY tomorrow for a few days of salmon fishing. Cold and rain is the forecast, can’t wait. That’ll keep some of the idiots off the river.

Never a Hershey bar. I'll put a little bit of brown sugar (teaspoon?) in to combat the acidity. What's the goal with the chocolate bar?

depth of flavor is my guess. Similar to a "Mole" in Mexican cooking.

Hmmm....I often take a little out of the main pot and put in a smaller pot for trying new things or bumping up the spice level. Perhaps I'll drop a couple pieces in the auxiliary pot one time and see what happens.

I don’t think I would do Mole in my chili. I do chocolate but mole brings way too many other flavors along with it. Chocolate I always try to use a good brand I don’t cook with things that I wouldn’t eat/ drink normally. :)
