Wheels and tires

I have stock wheels right now on the 04 prerunner double cab. Running 16s. Will be upgrading soon. I’d like to stay the same size but bigger tire. First off, not to familiar with offsets and all that jazz. How much bigger can I go with the tire running stock suspension? Also I wouldn’t mind some kinda offset to make the tires stick out a bit further just don’t know how far I can go and still be safe for everyday driving. Can someone help out??? And as far as the actual tire size go I think stock is 16x7 can I go 16x8, and what tire to go with it? Sorry I’m obviously a noob so my bad if it’s a bit confusing, just trying to learn some stuff, thanks!

 

I’m not sure what you had planned for budget or wheels but you could look at some 3rd gen factory wheels/tires. They are about 30.6” and should fill your wheel wells out nice while saving some money. They are for sale all the time around here for $6-700 with little to no miles. Here’s a random picture I found with the TRD Off-road set.
