and us tax payers will not only have to pay for illegal immigrants health care, all the people using welfare, homeless..... we will also pay for this SOB to rot in prison when he/she should meet the same fate as they inflicted. I really hope the person gets caught. That shit is not ok.

    Good ole CA.....

    Least we have nice weather.

That seems to me the norm nowadays. I always hear on the news about hit and runs. I don’t know how someone can live with themselves after they do something like that.

This story is tragic but unfortunately not very surprising. I understand there are lots of metro areas around the country full of terrible drivers, but right now I'm just speaking for my home town of Sacramento and we have **tons** of bad drivers around our State Capital area. I mean it's never been good but the last few years it's just getting awful. I have to be very selective about the times and places where I go for joyrides in the sports car or else it just won't be very fun. I really wonder what it will take for people to start paying attention and stop killing good innocent people. Driving is the most dangerous thing we do on a daily basis yet nearly all of us take it for granted that we will get to our destination unharmed. "I am careful when I text and drive, this won't happen to me."
We all have a responsibility here... I mean EVERYONE!

part of me feels like all the increases in technology within vehicles (these huge infotainment nav systems not only in the center of the dash but main dash in front of the steering wheel) are one of the root causes of the increase in crashes (none of this shit is an "accident").

yep we are probably preaching to the choir here. I guess I was hoping for one of you tacoma experts might help ID the truck like one of the guys in the FB comments arguing about the model year based on the grill in the (potato) photo. Less so about politics. I think police could do a better job of busting oblivious people on their phones swerving in their lane and going 15MPH slower than the flow of traffic just like they do for seatbelts and expired tags etc.

Nice weather if you like mudslides, oppressive heat, and humidity along with massive fires.
