What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I’ve had mine derped for about a year and a half now and the are holding up fine.

 

I did mine in May of 2016 and they held up fine until I recently changed out to different badges. Even with weekly automatic car washes. Never had to touch them up once. Just did several light coats with the plasti dip. (6 or 7)

 

Picked it up from the body shop this afternoon. Matches perfectly!

 

Changed the inside yellow lights to white bright lights!

 

Oh and changed the oil

 

How are you liking them?

 

Received my TRD Pro Grill with OEM Sensor Cover and picked up my TRD Skid Plate both look great, but still no truck!
Here is the update, Dealership called and stated they took the Taco back to the Auto Body Shop and they don't know how to fix it. A Toyota Rep is coming out to there Dealership on the 8th of this month and they asked if they could keep the truck and have the Rep look at it. I still have the loaner car and there is not way I will accept the truck in the condition they left it. Lets see what they do?

at night it will blind your wife or you if you use it ( i would change it back) ask me how i know.

 

Did you use the drain tool thing with the hose attached? Trying to find out if I need that before I do mine.

 

The drain tool (needed for the filter housing) comes in the box with every Toyota oil filter. Gotta buy your own short hose to fit it. If you have a TRD Pro skid plate (or plan on installing one) then you need to buy a Fumoto valve (

$38 F103N with LC-10 lever clip FN-Series Engine Oil Drain Valve, 1 Pack Gold

F103N) for the oil pan and a 4"-6" long hose to fit it. That way you never need to remove that skid for an oil change again.

I've been a MT guy ever since '69 when I smoked the tranny in my '65 Super Sport. Just my preference and suits me better. All I can say to "Mr I'll never buy another" is see ya later taco hater!

 

Though about it, but decided that this got the same point across. Doesn't matter really, I just look at his being gone as a plus.

Just had the same bumper delivered yesterday. I love it! Now all I have to do is get it on without damaging my paint.
Blue painters tape with a couple layers of duct tape over the paint should do it..........., I hope.

Edit: to anyone considering buying this bumper and having it arrived all scuffed up....., stop worrying! This thing is overpacked. Comes boxed and and wrapped in a blanket. You would almost have to damage the finish on purpose. Oh and that blanket will come in handy during installation. Blue painters tape on your paint followed by some pieces of that blanket with duct tape over that should protect that paint......., at least that's the plan!
