I'm coming up on 10K service. @9,400 now. I did an inspection under the truck and noticed lube on the outside of the carrier bearing. Is this normal? See pictures. If not, do you think its an issue to drive about another week before I can get to the dealer for warranty repair?

No. You just have a leaky seal. You should be fine till you can get it to your mechanic. As long as you don't have a puddle under your truck, no worries.

OP your carrier bearing should be lubricated by grease. Not oil. There will never be a "puddle" under your truck from this. Lots of greased components are not designed to be perfectly sealed. They're designed to pushed out any excess grease, much like when putting a grease gun on bushings or u-joint's it will push out the old grease.

Id say this is "normal". Try cleaning it up with a rag and some brake clean and see if it continues.

Thanks for the advice. I have 10K service next week so I'll leave as is and have the dealership look at it before I touch it. It may be Normal as you say, so might as well have the dealership tell me that on the service WO just in case it causes issues down the road.

Absolutely. No harm in that. Just no real need to worry.
