That was my thought too. Bent, kinked, stretched, etc. Something influenced that failure.

I run braided stainless lines on my ATVs and there is a definite difference in the feel. On ATVs, you have a lot more precise control of the brakes due to them not feeling squishy. It's easier to control between maximum braking and locking up the tires.

I agree that flexing was the likely culprit for failure and also sub-par materials.

*Updated original post with new pics of my Crown Performance lines.

Another reason we run aftermarket SS lines is that the stock rubber lines are too short in lifted applications. Even with my 2.5" lift and the added travel the suspension cycles, my 4"+ lines are almost too short in the rear.

This is the first failure I've heard and will check mine. Glad you're ok OP. Nice driving.

I'm running Icon extended at 2.25" over stock. I went with the +3 for a safe margin. I've updated the original post with measurements for reference.

So, if I'm understanding this correctly, you're running 2.25" over stock length Icon front shocks and your stock length Wheelers brake lines failed? Gee, there's a big surprise. So all this bashing of Wheelers brake lines is a result of your incorrect product choice for the application.

They claim they are for lifted vehicle applications. Its still an issue if people are running them. But agree they should have been longer no doubt. Live and learn.
