So I first have to preface this by saying it won't really be a "build." Since the truck is leased, I don't have too big of plans for mods, although right now I am planning on buying the car off the lease in 3 years. This thread is more of a place for me to track what I've done and what plans I have for it since most of the stuff I'm adding is either Toyota or TRD brand while it's leased. With that being said, here we go...

Took delivery of the truck on September 4, 2019. Picked it up with like 13 miles on the odometer.

    Stock details:
    • 2019 Super White Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD Sport 4x4
    • 6-Speed Manual Transmission
    • Blackout Package
    • Technology Package
    • Cast Aluminum Running Boards
    • Four Season Floor Mat Package

    Installed aftermarket/mods:
    Future mods:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got the dealership to throw in a Bak Revolver X2 Rolling Tonneau Cover. Really like it because it sits flush with the truck bed and is reinforced by aluminum underneath that locks into rails on the side of the bed. No velcro or anything and super simple to roll up and unroll. Also has rubber seals that help keep majority of water out of the bed. Still lets some in, but I have yet to see any tonneau cover not let some water in.

Then went to an independent tint shop and had them install Xpel tint and Xpel clear bra. The tint is 35% up front and 20% in the rear. The clear bra covers the hood up until the hood scoop, the grill surround, the front bumper, the fender flairs, the door edges, and the door handle cups. Have always had clear bras so decided to bite the bullet and do it again for this truck. Cost me about $725 for the tint and clear bra combine.

The first things I ordered were organizers for the center console and glove compartment.

Not entirely sure why Toyota decided to keep the chrome grille bezel on the blackout package trucks, but decided that I wanted a more uniform look so I ordered the SR model black grille bezel. Very happy with it. Took only 20 minutes to remove the grille and pop out some tabs. Subtle and probably unnecessary, but like I said earlier, I wanted to keep the blackout theme going. Here's a few before and after pics:

Just purchased the shift knob and wheel center caps. Hoping they are all here next week and will provide pics once installed. Feels weird getting excited about such small features after modding the hell out of my old FR-S, but also is nice to not spend near the amount I foolishly wasted on that car lol.

Center caps came in today. The black gloss doesn't match the dark grey color of the wheels, but doesn't bother me at all since I have so many other black and red accents throughout the exterior. Think the contrast actually looks good, and it’s hard to tell anyways unless you’re looking for it up close.

"Installed" the TRD shift knob today. Obviously super easy to just unscrew and secure the base.
