I've seen a lot of people who have gotten the Llumar Pinnacle tinting done on their vehicles. Has anyone done the Stratos? Trying to decide what I should have done when I go Friday, primary reason is going to be heat reduction, and I live in Central FL so it is definitely hot. But not sure if it is worth the extra $150 to go from Pinnacle to Stratos

    Opinions? Photos? Pros/Cons?

Llumar is the best film on the market hands down. I would splurge and get their ceramic line.

I've had good luck with most metallic films, but Llumar and 3M seem to be top of the line in terms of quality. I think the window tint that turns purple over time is something we left in the past, as I rarely see that happen anymore. That must have been the lower quality films back in the '90s.

Make sure you don't use any ammonia-based window cleaners on that new window tint!

I live in Central FL as well. Don't expect a dramatic difference in the heat reduction. It will help, but it's still going to be hot as balls in the truck. Llumar's perfection is debatable. They do have the greatest presence, but that has little to do with quality and more with the cost to shops. They out price the competition and of course a business will go with the lowest costs to maximize profits. I've used Llumar, Solar Gard, Sun-Gard, and Global. They were all good. The only one that stood out was Solar Gard. It was thicker than the other brands. But they all lasted years with no issues. Almost every tint guy I have spoken with agrees Huper Optik is the shit. But it's expensive which is why it's hard to find. The average customer is not willing to pay the price difference when cheaper tints look similar side by side. What ever brand you go with, just get the best you can afford.

What part of Seminole county are you in?

I’ve pretty much settled on Llumar since that seems to be the most available but don’t know if it’s worth the $135 difference to go with the super premium Stratos film over the Pinnacle. Thinking about asking them to give a steep discount on the front windshield if I decide to go with Stratos.

I'll do 3rd on the ceramic, I won't be posting in the "Our AC sucks" thread. The difference from driving into the big city before the tint and the drive back out was very noticeable. I actually could leave my hand on the dash. Three weeks later, no buyer's remorse.
