Cement Tacos let's see them!

Picked up this used ARE shell with the intention of having it painted cement, but now I think I kinda like the black.

 

Black looks awesome on cement. I say leave it but your truck lol

 

I’ve had mine for a few months, still haven’t done much to it yet. Aside from window tint and LED interior lights.

 

Bought it in july, havent done much either. All ive done is add ARB skids. Been waiting 2 months for my ARE shell, the lift up side windows are back ordered

 

How is the install on the arb skids? I found a used set but they’re missing one of the cross supports. How bad do you think it would be to fab up a replacement?

 

Wouldnt be too hard if you have a template and know what your doing, i know that part you are talking about and it is what connects the plate to the crossmember. The install was kind of a pain in the @ss. You even need to drill a hole on the frame for the transfer case plate- small hole but still. Overall, i will say i am happy with their weight to protection ratio. 90lb total and strong enough for occasional drags on rough forest service roads. @Navigator1 realistically that piece is still attached to the seller’s truck. It was a b!tch to put that part on, im betting he didnt want to remove it.

That’s what I figured. But for $225 I figured it my be worth the headache. I don’t know. Just fire roads and stuff I’m probably fine without.
