Unfortunately Pennsylvania prohibits Sunday hunting for big game and most other things. Nah, plan A,B,C & D was to catch up on some things "She Who Must Be Obeyed" wanted me to work on. She's pretty much a widow for the next two months so I try to accommodate her demands, er, I mean wishes.... All kidding aside, she's a great wife. Been married for 33 years.

 

I clearly though it was a cool idea.

See the Sunday hunting is regulated by our legislature and not the PGC. So every time it comes up, the Farm Bureau lobbies against it as do the one hiking group that maintains they fear being shot while hiking on Sundays. Even tough it's been proven that the other 37 states that DO allow Sunday hunting have no safety issues. Cannot stand when elected official with no game biology experience make uneducated decisions on wildlife.

 

Why would the Farm Bureau be against it?

 

Blue laws are really Sunday laws. They limit or prevent you from doing things on Sundays. TN still has blue laws about alcohol, Say we can’t buy anything before noon and till last summer and this past Jan wine/liquor couldn’t even be sold on a Sunday.

 

They probably say so farmers can work outside and not get shot.

 

Farm Bureau’s and insurance companies are usually in bed with each other and want to kill as many deer as possible!

 

I doubt I'll live long enough to see that.

 

They claim they want a day of rest without dealing with hunters. Which is pure Bravo Sierra. Real simple solution. Post your property "NO SUNDAY HUNTING".

 

Because it's a problem in the other 37 states that DO allow Sunday hunting? That's a rhetorical question.
