Again, and old thread, but it works for your charity! Got this email from Amazon Smile yesterday.



That's almost 145 MILLION DOLLARS folks! Amazon doing a GREAT thing! Do your part to add your charity to your shopping!

 

I do this and have been for about a year. I donate to Goldens without borders. It’s a group that gets Golden Retrievers out of China where their used for food and crammed into small cages until they kill them. I saw this on the news and immediately made a donation to help prevent this and anything I buy on Amazon goes towards this compsny that tries to help prevent this and also gets MANY of these dogs out of there and brought back to the USA and adopted to loving homes. I hope all of you will do this as well. Thank you everyone

Been doing this for the past 2 years. Love that a tiny bit goes to my favorite nonprofit.

 

Just got an email from Amazon letting me know that they are doing away with the smile program next month.

The local humane society hasn't held their yearly fundraiser event since covid. I know it wasn't much but I was happy to make my donations to them through amazonsmile.

 

I have not gotten that email. I have been donating to Heart of Horse Sense.

No more smile donations, Amazon must not have enough money to continue this eh?

 

The excuse is cost cutting.
And that the average donation is 230.00
I gave more than that every year.

 

Well, those 18,000 pink slips gotta come from somewhere...
