Looking for a front skid plate to dress up the front end and a 1 1/2” lift, but don’t want the bumper bar type. More for looks rather than the stock black plate. Any suggestions?

If you are looking for a “skid” plate the OEM is not.
It’s a splash guard. I wouldn’t skid anything across it. (Except water)
If you spend money on any guard, I recommend a more sturdy option OEM.

get a TRD Pro skid plate for a 2016-2020 tacoma. Bolts right up and aligns with the oil drain plug. same exact fitment on both generations. I have this plate.

This is the 2016-2020 TRD Pro skid on 2nd gen TRD OR. Fitment is perfect with NO modifications. Skid is 1/4" thick just like the aftermarkets. TRD Pro skid is the only one that retains stock front crash bars. Oil drain hole is exact.

Oem are swell. Best part you can find people almost giving them away if they bought something else.

Just by chance I called the local Toyota dealer here and they had one in stock and a little cheaper than eBay or Amazon. Thinking to install it tonight. I watched a couple utube videos for the install and seems pretty straight forward other than lifting the plate in place while trying to screw in the bolts. I will be doing it on the ground since I don’t have a lift or jack and hoping I have enough space to work with. Any tips for the install??

BTW, the Toyota part number for the TRD pro skid plate is PTR60-35190. Will be installing on my 2015 Taco. I’ll let you know how it goes...
