    Doesn’t really matter if a person raffles something away, and they make more money than the item is worth.

    The point of a raffle is I might get something of value for comparably little, so maybe I spend $10 to win something I’d otherwise have to purchase for $200. It’s great if you win, if not, well hopefully the buy in price wasn’t more than you could afford to lose.

    Not sure what your beef with the world is, but whatever you do, don’t look into how actual lotteries are funded. You’d be shocked how many people buy that billion dollar ticket and don’t win.
