In all seriousness though, he's got a sick build. Only two of these Tacoma’s in Hawaii rocking 3.0’s that i know of, definitely some quality parts on this truck. But yes, it’s been sold

So yes the truck has been traded. I wanted to share some of my thoughts on owning and building a 3rd gen Tacoma near its full potential.

I think I got to a point were the truck was getting a little frustrating for me. I spent so much money on it the total build was close to 60k and at the end of the day did it feel like something that felt like 60k? The answer to that was no. The King 3.0s were good, if I had a little more time I would have liked to try a #600 spring because the 650x13 was a little harsh even with a long break in period. The biggest issue with the tacoma for me was the powertrain. It was god awful. It hunted for gear, if you pushed the gas nothing happened. The gas mileage was terrible. I was getting 12 mgs obviously the 295s and armor didnt help. I ended up trading the truck for a 2017 BMW M3. The price of the M3 and what I put into the tacoma build ended up being about the same but the M3 "feels" like its close to 60k. Driving the M3 is just such a different experience. I didnt really care for the experience of driving the tacoma, the only thing it really had going for it was it looks pretty awesome. If I do decide to build a truck again it probably wont be a tacoma. I just couldnt deal with how bad the drivetrain was.
