Cool, that's what I tried earlier and seem to be working. Do your values on screen usually read the same when things are running normally?

I just started up the truck from cold and revved the engine a few times and they were pretty much synced up. The max it got to was something like 15 on a quick rev and when I fully released the accelerator, the fuel trims went to about -1.

I named mine STF (instead of SF1) and LTF (instead of LT1).

 

The long term will move a little, the short term will move all the time.

The long and short terms WILL be different.

If they are the same then you do not have the numbers correctly for both trims.
If they are the same you have the same program numbers for both trims but different slots

 

Long term trim has a memory so it needs to build on that as short has no memory

 

There should be NO decimal point .

Should be regular numbers plus or minus

Those numbers were correct I believe unless you input something in error.

 

If you have any one item out of its place, it will not work.

I didn't need to add in an X-gauge code to get AFR reported, if that's what you mean. Can the codes that the SG came installed with be read off the unit? If so I can try to grab them for you if that's what you need.

Thanks for these. When I pasted the codes from the ScanGauge into my spreadsheet it dropped the leading zero on the RXF fields!

FYI the blip at the end of the video where the AFR shows a 17.6 value is because:
"Under deceleration it might go to 60:1 since the ECU cuts off almost all fuel under those conditions."

I came across the info again:

The AFR (wideband) sensor came on '99 and '00 models with Cali. emissions, and everything from 2001 and later. Also, you can't upgrade the sensor without upgrading to the 2-cat system and a new ECU.

 

That looks much better, let it settle in and see how it is in a day or so and it will have a better long trim reading

 

The fuel trims will be off if the MAF has ANY dirt on it FYI,
So maybe now is a good time to clean it fully, the bulb, the shaft and the connections and the holes ( passage ways) above the bulb with MAF specific cleaner.

Your long trims should be around ZERO, if they are higher then you are running lean and the ECU is trying to keep it balanced.

Plus or minus 5 is good tho

 

You are correct, your truck has a wideband O2 sensor. It does read a bit slow compared to a standalone sensor and module, but it's fairly accurate. As long as you're not trying to use it for data logging for tuning purposes (not even sure how you would do that), it works fine.
