What's the trick for mounting the frame supports without cutting my reservoir mounts up?

What brand shocks do you have and are you running a sway bar?

For my resi mounts (I also run kings), I drilled a hole in the mount, then bent them just slightly by hand in a vice to be able to slide the frame support between the resi mount and the frame. Then just bolt it down.

You can either do what @deekyn did above, or mount the resi bracket with the single rearward bolt and turn them out slightly as I have mine.

Hey I PMd you a few months ago- I'm still really interested in purchasing a bumper. Only question is what do most people do for coating since they only come bare steel? Would I need to primer and then Line-x?

I love the Gen 2 flat top front bumper. If you had a high-clearance rear to match you would have my money...

For bumpers, most people get them powdercoated. Line-x brand isn’t a diy coating, it’s only available to be sprayed from professional shops.
A diy rattle can paint is very doable though.

I had my bumper powder coated at a local shop. One Wisconsin winter later and I’m ready for a sandblasting and primer then rattle can too.

If you live somewhere forgiving or don’t wheel super hard, powder coating is the way to go I think.

Aggressive salty Wisconsin winters and lots off driving and wheeling means I’m migrating to painting all of my own armor from now on. Rattle can means easy fixes when you scrape them up off-roading.

These are by far the best looking bumpers.

The time has come for the light bar, so I tried the light bar but did not clear the winch control by about 1/4 inch. Given my ability to make some mods, my son and I threw the bumper up onto the mill and made me the 2.6" slot required for the light bar. So after some time I was able to make it fit, much better then stock IMO...

So I have a set of stainless brackets that allow the BD light bar to fit stock but without the winch control mounted behind the light if anyone is interested in a plug and play setup less the light bar of course. PM me for a price. This bumper is seriously put together we'll. Super happy with this bumper. Also welded a tab to allow the side lights to mount right side up.

I've been looking at bumpers for a couple of years. There are certainly lots of excellent fabricators out there who build bumpers. I narrowed it down to three that I liked and I ended up going with At the Helm Fabrication. I just installed front and rear ATH bumpers. I will post pictures this weekend. Morgan was great to work with, he answered phone calls, texts and emails. The finish and quality of his work was excellent. The bumpers went on without any modification to the bumpers. His directions were spot on, even for cutting the bed to install the high clearance rear bumper. Very happy with this purchase! I would highly recommend ATH!
