Crap! Daughter backed into my truck!

Here are the scratches etc. that won't buff out, but hey, like I said, it could have been way worse! Her bumper also has some permanent scars but that is going to serve as a reminder to her to be more careful.

I know, I don't mind. Here is the thing, it is hard to freaking believe the Toyota plastic frontend for the most part popped back to it's "Memory". When I saw the damage yesterday, as the first pic shows, I figured a trip to the body shop and a deductible. I will most likely just see if a good paint guy can professionally buff and polish it. I don't have the skills to do it the right way. Her car has the same kind of damage. Here is her bumper:

I believe you that it happened and I know that the cover wasn’t changed because the body line is misaligned exactly the same in both pics. It’s the popping out by itself that seems unrealistic.

AND........for your viewing pleasure..... Note the snow from yesterday and the leaves on the trees, this was not LAST winter as some have said. I know it's hard to believe the sun warmed it up and popped it back out, but I have no other proof I can give you and Ive wasted more time trying to prove to haters than to just share something that I thought was cool and I caught a break! Again, it is far from perfect, but I will take it.

Absolutely not. I own the truck and I am still shocked it popped back out. The only help it got from me was pushing the bumper cover back into the holes where it then snapped back into its pins that hold it on. I did not touch ANY of the parts that were pushed in. I bitterly sat in my office today and watched it slowly pop back out. Crazy. But again, I am happy. To be honest, I wish I would have taken a time-lapse with my iPhone. that would have been cool to see. But, I actually had to work. .

 

Not agressave, also not a debate. The OP told us a cool story. Believe it or move on.

 

Its all good, To be honest, the only reason I am posting all the pics and vids I have is because I myself was shocked it popped back out. If it further's the entertainment value then I have done my part. I don't feel I need to prove myself, the cool part is, it took a crappy day and turned it around. Yea I wish there was no damage, but what is left is doable and won't make my rates go up. Win/Win.

Nope, I'm good man. I don't blame anybody for being skeptical. I watched it happen in front of my eyes and I still can't believe it. So, it is what it is. No need to get pissed at each other. I appreciate folks coming to my defense, but not needed, let's all just get along.
