What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Not today, but last Tue./Wed., and in my typically crummy photographic style:

Had OME 885 coils installed up front and Icon 3-leaf AALs in back (both from Headstrong Offroad), changed the step bars from the oem 5" polished ovals to Raptor 4" black ovals (shorter, too), then had the SCS Stealth 6s put on the next day.

I have Bilstein 5100 shocks all around, the fronts are still set at 0 (no pre-load). Maintained handling and a comfy ride after the mod. Tires aren't sticking out as much as I thought they might (which is good). Have some rubbing going on when I hit a bump with the wheels turned (which is bad).

Went with the Stealth wheels because they were around 5 pounds lighter than other wheels I was looking at. Could just be my imagination, but it seems to make a noticeable difference.




Letting things settle for a few days, then taking it in for an alignment.

I got mine used April 14th 2018, and have only put about 9k on it. It’s nice having a work vehicle.

 

Nice! Also what brand flares are those on the Taco?

 

I decided to get the blind spot mirrors from the RAV4. I think these will be pretty nice for the hwy driving I do.

I don’t really know why the Taco doesn’t come with these...

 

Put in the second part of the Cali Raised molle rack. got my shovel mounted up, now just waiting on my tonneau cover to get here.

 

Wife got sideswiped by a hit and run driver last night in San Diego. The driver hit multiple vehicles tore off one of his front wheels on his Silverado kept driving making sparks which caused multiple fires along side the road which had to be extinguished by helicopter. He was arrested.
Do you think her Highlander 2016 with 25000 miles will be written off? Airbags didn't deploy but you can't open the driver's door and passenger door is hard to open.

Thanks she is fine. Highlander handled it well. The Silverado had a big steel trailer on as well

 

camper is off. awaiting its new owner to return from afghanistan.

 

Hauled some scrap then put these black letters on the tail gate to match the black and white theme

Sounds like she got lucky. Glad to hear she's ok.

 

What year is it? If it's just they replace the fender, doors and quarter I think they will fix it. If underlying structural support is damaged hard to tell.

 

How hard was it? any tips? i have been wanting to do the same thing, as i too think it looks better with out them

It’s not totaled imho but it won’t buff out.
