hello, I need parts for my tractor and dealer is $$$$$. So where can I find parts other than at the dealer?

Also, I do know that aftermarket parts for tractors do exist, but where do I get these? Is there some kind of rockauto place for tractors out there? other than ebay or Amazon

    thank you

Find the factory part # and google it. More than likely you will find factory parts at a third of the dealer price.

Try Yesterday’s Tractor Co. just google it. I’ve done a lot of business with them and they are good people. If ya can’t find what you are looking for there let me know what tractor you have.

well, it's not really a farm tractor, but it is a John Deere 610C backhoe-loader. I only need filters for now, which cost nearly a hundred dollars at the dealer here, but I need a part from time to time, as it is 31 years old. last year was radiator, expensive, but glad it is replaced now, as it did solve a mysterious intermittent overheating and stalling issue.

With backhoe loader tractors most have a twin farm tractor. Most parts will interchange such as filters, gears, most run the same motor. Give me a minute and I’ll see if I can find it’s counterpart in the ag world.

    Steiner has some 610C parts.

Yes, Steiner is another good one. The backhoe was built after 1986 after the Generation II tractors were built so it doesn’t have an exact match. I’ve even bought oil and fuel filters at O’Reilly auto parts. I noticed you are in Canada so I don’t know if they are up there. But just any large auto part store. They should be able to cross reference any filter you have.

the thing with US places is that quite often, the price of the part in itself is good, but the shipping kills it :(

rockauto being an exception, but unfortunately, they don't carry machinery parts :p

well, well, well, looked at a few oil filter manufacturers cross-reference catalogs and found that rockauto does indeed carry them, but branded as WIX, FRAM

as for napa, they do have them too, but they're as expensive as the dealer lol
