    Reserected from the dead.
    Frankly, it's too much work to worry about theft.

    I just got done fishing for a week in some populated and unpopulated areas. I left the sides of my ST rolled up the whole time. Nothing was touched and i had all sorts of camping/fishing gear in the back.

    Life is too short to spend it paranoid.

    It would really be that hard to remove.

    2 wood screws and a piece of wire for a handle - it's out.

    Thieves carry saws-alls, eye bolts, handles and wire? Advanced thieves. 99% won't go to that trouble. Smash and grab is most likely. I think your idea could be a good way to keep things out of sight and "deter" thieves. But, if they are still hell bent on getting something out of your truck and have the time, they can get it -- or just take the whole truck.
