I'm actually having the bed taking off so as I can paint the top of the frame clean up any rust spots so I figured I may as well do the fuel pump while the bed is off thanks for the info

Is that nut the same size as the nut that is use for the fuel filter so you can use the fuel line wrench for it?

I had to dremel the female fitting down to the threads cause it wouldn't budge. The whole setup is a pain in the ass.

Same style but I believe it’s 17mm instead.

I'm changing mine to -6 AN with Earl's adapters and pre-made Russell nitrous/fuel lines. Cheaper than an actual stock line.

Installed these new pump parts and gasket for the 99 model. At 229,000 miles on the original, it was time for a refresh.

The engine does feel a bit more responsive with the new pump. The pump came with a bag of additional fittings that must be for different year models.

For the 99 model, I only needed the hose and clamps.

I left the high pressure line attached to the sending unit during removal. The end attached to the sending unit was being stubborn during removal. I didn't want to put any pressure on the part that is connected to the sending unit. Then on re-installation, I used a similar approach to keep from putting the line in a bind during tightening

The old pump and high pressure line. I used parts store fuel lines to replace the low pressure returns and the hose on the fuel tank vent.

This part rusted out on one of my trucks. Could not find a replacement (new anyway) and ended up making one myself. It holds a small check valve. The line fitting and adapter rusted off.

Did you put in a new sender gasket?
I ended up ordering one for 12.00 and ordered a new High pressure hose
that connects to the sender to be safe for when I ready

Yes for both gasket and hose. I got the pump, filter, and gasket from RockAuto. The hose was OEM 23091-75020 @ $60.13.
