So to start off I hope everyone's weekend was good. I hope it wasn't as insane as mine.

On Friday night I was on my way home from a good night of some pool and beer with my friends. I had about 5 light beers over the course of 5 hours and it does take me about twice that to get drunk so I was fine driving home. Im the kind of person that always calls an uber if I dont feel 100% confident in driving home without a DUI.

Anyways, driving home from downtown Bellingham on main street. Its a pretty big long hill that heads toward the waterfront. As I'm about to change lanes from the middle to the right turning lane, a red Mercedes rips by my right side and clips the side of my new truck. Me, being in shock for a second, decides to floor it and chase him because it happened so fast (he was going about 60 in 25) I couldn't get a plate number. He tries losing me in a neighborhood but sadly for him I grew up in this town and know every street in the area. He tries out running me on another main street, Northwest Ave, a long straight away for a couple miles. We hit about 95mph on it and he fucked up. I know at the end of the straight away theres a big round about with 3' high pines and big boulders. I slowed down. Red Mercedes didn't.

He plowed right through that shit, blew 3 of his tires, shattered his windshield, and was STILL TRYING TO RUN. Spraying sparks and fish tailing at about 20mph, i just flash my brights and honk for a min until he finally decides to pull into a church parking lot. Now I'm worried if he has a gun or is going to be hostile but anger also over took and I got out to go and talk to him.

He was so drunk he couldnt even stand without swaying. He was a mexican kid, 23, same age as me, just crying in disbelief about what had just happened. I cursed him out and tried to get his insurance. After a small physical fight which was just me putting him in arm submission, he gave me his registration and expired insurance, so I took it, kept it, and drove home about 2mins away after calling him a fat piece of shit etc etc etc. He took off running from his car.

I get home, call LE, and they come take pics of my truck and then go look for him. The next day I decide to go by his address and drop off the paperwork I took from him. When i get there its a tiny apartment.

I knock, and he opens the door with tears rolling down his face, He just said cmon in man I've been waiting for you. It was him and his whole family sitting in silence. His mom looked so upset but calm at the same time. He got away from the cops but there's still a hit and run charge on his car so he'll have to deal with that.

My car just had a few light scratches on the side which is amazing.

We just came to a cash agreement and I figured him totaling his car, me scaring the literal shit out of him while trying to get his insurance info, and his family hating him, is prbly enough for the scratches on my car.

Long story short, dont run from a pissed off taco. My car is my child.

Check out the pics of his car tho lol

Anyone driving with no insurance shouldn't be on the road. The at fault person driving the sedan deserves to face all the consequences for what he did.

Also: People shouldn't drink and drive, or drive down a street at 95 mph.

Also. You claiming the beer you were drinking was "light beer" makes absolutely no difference. Its light in terms of calories, not alcohol content. If cops would have shown up. You may have passed a breathalyzer, but having alcohol in your system makes you at fault for any interaction with him just as well

Glad that you endangered your life and the lives of others over a few scratches on your truck.
