You made sure the parts dude gave you tundra pads right? That had to really confuse him as to why you need taco axle kits yet tundra brakes.

Yeah had a whole argument with the parts counter guy. Apparently the boot kits are identical between ADD and Manual

    i hear you there

fuel line local $60 camelback $20
radiator hose the same price spread!
wheel lug nuts nearly $400 from local and a bit less than $200 from Camelback
i have not yet bought those new nuts and most likely won't, just keep powder coating the ones I have every couple of years depending on wear

do you need to see the difference in these nuts???
its rather cold today still so cannot do much under the truck, spent a ton of time on it yesterday and did not seem to get much done :(
might go out and see what kind of flash rust has developed

You actually used OEM lug nuts? Hard to get a lug nut wrong.

That and it’s still cheaper than a rental car for the week.

    speaking of similar
i am just pondering the island abyss i find myself in this 1st gen section, it
makes me very lonely at times that all the 'cool' people in my general area have them fancy newer 3rd & 2nd gen trucks
its extremely hard to relate to most on TW 1st gen section because of the huge dissimilar experiences i am finding
    it sucks.

Shoutout to Sean at Steven’s Creek Toyota who didn’t give up on me even though TIS said 0.

Check this out; that could be said for a lot of us here.

Like I was telling @Sperrunner , my town is full of 1st gen Taco's, though 95% are all prerunner, 4% are 5 lug, and 1% are 4x4. And those people that own them don't have anything more than a flat bed (for work use) or nothing else.

The forum more than makes up for that, as long as you stay in the 1st gen section.

The 3rd genners....well....they're 3rd genners. We don't talk to them.
