What you said about not using the big oven is one of my favorite things about an air fryer.

Roasted some garlic in the air fryer today. Just cut the top off, pour a little olive or avocado oil on, wrap it up in foil and about 30 minutes @ 400*

Going to be using one of the bulbs for something I will have posted over in the smoker thread tomorrow.

Can't think of any great recipes or anything, but we do have one that the wife uses from time to time. It's mostly to heat up some of the little snacks that the kids eat (chicken nuggets, fish sticks, etc.), but we've done chicken breast and fries in there, too.

I'll grant that they are pretty handy. I'll keep an eye on the thread for ideas.

Love me some tater tots. I could see the air fryer making quick, easy work of them.

Having an airfryer has changed lunch, so quick and easy to reheat many things when i only have about 20 minutes. I use that thing on the daily but really has changed cooking frozen food and making it decent without the 30 minute cook time. I have a small one but will be upgrading to one that deluxe one that can fit more than a hand full of fries or 2 small chicken breasts.

Air Fryer wings! I know not a new thing.. but new to me! 380 degrees for 24 minutes with a homemade rub. Be awesome in the winter months when it too wintery to grill or smoke!

I haven’t found a month where I won’t use the smoker yet.

we have tried air fryer wings a couple times and so far I haven’t really been that pleased with them, I prefer my wings crispier and have not been able to get them to that point.

The recipe I was basing mine off of said to go 380 for 24 minutes and then 400 for 6 to get them crispy.
I don't know if it was the rub that I used or what (brown sugar based), but these were crispy without the second step and I was satisfied!

I'm pretty new to this so I don't have any knowledge on what's best.
I would recommend getting the biggest one you can in your budget so that you can cook as many wings as possible at once! Haha that's all I have to offer

The one I have posted on page 1 is a 2 quart. It's big enough for 1 person.

I'd definitely go with something in the 4 quart (or larger) for more than 1 person.

@Kanyon71 another thought on the wings.. since the air fryer is the fastest way to cook them other than deep frying them, you could always throw them under the broiler in your oven for a few minutes at the end.

Definitely keep an eye on them and I would use the low setting on the broiler.. 2-3 minutes might be over doing it.

Try to toss in a little bit of baking powder in with the rub next time. Somehow it creates an almost deep fried crispy skin. I also use this in regular oven.
    Random google recipe:
    https://www.bonappetit.com/story/baked-chicken-wings-baking-soda

    Edit:
Be careful with the amount of baking powder as it can be salty with the rub.

I may try the broiler out and see if it helps.
We tried the corn starch didn’t do it with the rub though so may have to try that out.
Wife used it to make tater tots for dinner tonight. She said they came out good. I’m still working so not sure. Will see when I get home though. :)

I actually almost tossed some pizza rolls in there last night. :)

Ended up and made a microwave burrito instead.

I have used the baking powder trick before and it totally works on oven baked wings.. not as great on grilled wings in my opinion. Didn't even think about it on the wings I made in the air fryer today tho!
