    2016 DCSB.

when I engage the handbrake, it works fine, but when I try to release it, the lever drops down normally, but the actually mechanism must not be releasing because I can barely move in drive or reverse. I end up rocking it back and forth, D and R, then it finally breaks free.

any ideas? I tried lubricant the wire potion that I had access to near the middle of the underside, but they didn’t work.

Going to need to pull the rear wheel and drum for an inspection. The problem is in there, not with the cable.

Dammit. I just had them off a few weeks ago to rotate my tires. Can’t stomach that back pain again right now.
