I tried. Because the coils are so much longer than the stock coils it was almost impossible to do the floor jack method to get the assembly back together. I think you run the risk of compressing the COIL too much as well. The coils are really long. People normally say to set the shock clip at 0 because otherwise you might get too much lift or preload but I think in the 888s case the coil just is way too long to set the shock up any higher.

I'm actually in contact with ARB right now trying to see if they'll do anything about my coils. Waiting till tomorrow to hear another response. They already emailed back asking for pictures of my stance and my invoice so I'm crossing my fingers. Not sure what they'll even end up doing, if anything, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask before I just decide to go to another option (Kings)

I have a 1/4" spacer on my driver side for the lean and I'm sitting dead even from side to side. I'm going to order a 1/2" spacer and put it on my driver side and put the 1/4" spacer on my passenger side to try getting back to the 2.5" lift mark at least. Depending on how that goes I might just leave the setup as is until I'm ready to shell out 3200 for Kings front and rear.

I have 5100s on the 5th perch and stock Sport coils. The ride is a lot better, not as stiff. Somewhere between a OR and Sport ride. On the highway is smooth and around town is very smooth as well. My stock coils didn't settle, its been almost a year and about 3000 miles later and the height has not decreased. My neighbor who lurks on here some has a long bed with 5100s. He used 888s and on his second set, they are sagging. He is running some factory coils now and I think when he was running 888s the ride was about the same as factory coils. That was the deciding factor when I decided on keeping factory coils. Not against them at all, but it will settle some. To me my ride is great and would not change a thing.

Jumping into the mix here for additional info/feedback as well. I too have 5100/888 in front, 5100/HS 3 AAL in back. As far as front lift, maybe 1.75" I think from that, DCLB 4x4 with sliders. I see others talking about options I've considered

Bumping the notch up from 0 to 1
New coils? or back to stock? Could 886 work, why does it say NOT to with 5100s?
    Adding a spacer on top

I also currently have the 1/2" on driver side and 1/4" on passenger but still sit lower than I would like up front.

Suggestions? What have most of the people with this issue/concern end up doing to get a bit more lift?

After reading al these ome/5100 threads I’m really leaning towards the RC 3/2 lifted strut option. Too many variables here (sagging, trim, ect) to deal with. I just want a simple 3” lift to run 285’s and call it a day. Am I wrong?

    Work in progress...
I have the 887's with 5100's set at 0. I have put over 20k miles, since May 2018, on the coils. I dropped from 37 1/2" all the way down to 37 1/4". I am really pleased with the set up. I know yall are talking 888s but, damn it, I just have to toss my .02 in.

You'll notice the difference between stock ride quality and spacer ride quality. Trust me. If you don't really care about a jarring ride then do it. Can't beat the price. Rear blocks aren't a big deal but the front spacers are. If you can, spend the extra and get some new coils and cheaper-ish shocks.

I have this exact set up. See signature. Rides like shit. I wish I had the stock TRD suspension back. It rode like a cadillac over bumps. Now it's bumpy as hell. Headstrong sold me crap.20190929_153522_HDR.jpg

Mines rides nice, front is squishy n nice, rear is stiff as I left the OL in, sometimes I think about what a simple 2-300$ spacers lift would feel like and if that woulda been better lol

I’m not talking about a spacer lift. Rough country has a LIFTED STRUT option where the spring perch is higher and blocks in the rear. Anyone have that particular setup

I had it set on the 4th perch and now the 5th. No difference in ride, alignment was perfect. Running a block, 1/4 spacer, ECGS clamshell bushing. Rides better than stock.

Should email them and figure out spring rate. Otherwise you may run into similar issues to 5100/888 setup.

If the stock springs are 700lbs spring rate and the 888s are 590lbs, why would they ever be a solution to sagging? Just because of the length? It seems they are too light right out of the box. Help me understand

I got 888's and 5100's (0 notch) with new all terrains at the same time. At first it road extremely stiff and I thought it was the suspension, but then I let some air out of the tires and now it rides very smooth. Much better than the factory suspension. I did a progressive AAL in the rear and kept the overload which was also a little stiff until I put my tent over the bed and now it rides smooth. Truck is level within 1/8" front and back w/ perfect alignment.

I have 5100s and 888s with the same weight and the truck rides perfect. 1.5” of lift on lowest setting.

    I have the C4 lopro with a Warn M8000.

I got 5100s and 888's. They ride awesome honestly. Super soft and rode great going through speed bumps or through light trails. Then I added a winch and bumped it up to the next setting. Still rode pretty damn great, but I upgraded to dobinsons shortly after.

I had a similar weight set up and the 888s rode pretty well tbh
