    Update on remote start.
N2 arrived very quickly!! Within a couple days of ordering. Had about an hour of daylight after mowing the lawn last night so figured what the heck, I'll get started on the install. I don't have a garage, and we have EEE mosquito issues in the area now, so I thought I'd at least get everything pulled apart and if the mosquitoes started to come out I'd finish up in the morning. Truly 40 minutes later unit was installed, working awesome, and everything was put back together. This was one of the easiest electronic installs I've ever done on a vehicle. So simple and works great! Thanks for the advice here and thanks to N2 for a great product!!

Does your pop n lock unlock and lock with your fob now? Then hell yea it works! I've even got a secret hack to use you truck bed like a safe/locker if you've got a Tonneau cover and want to leave your fob or expensive items in there WITHOUT thief gaining access to your truck bed when they break into the cabin and hit "unlock" when parked overnight at unfamiliar places, resorts, hiking, water activities, smuggling narcotics or disposing of a body ("sorry officer, I have no key to unlock the trunk") etc...but you have to pay to play. You get that tip after, and it will cost you no more than $2 to run down to the local electronics store to do...there are those on this forum who know this hack after I've revealed it post-smart module purchase..if you're one of them, you've vowed to keep THAT secret. @TacoTruck808 was the actual inspiration behind this hack...and he's in this thread, so Jayson, not a word!

Could you pm this hack? I’m assuming maybe it’s just a toggle switch? I always keep my stuff under my tonneau especially with a bunch of breakins happening in areas I frequent. Installing the pop n lock Made me worry about this exact situation.

What's the estimated range on this? Looking to get remote start added... guessing that the phone module adds to range but what is range of just the 3x lock feature?

It’s the range of ur remote which isn’t much. They do make longer range key fobs

Whatever your fob's range is now. We neither increase or decrease it. We're just looking for 3 presses of your lock button. Your phone, unlimited range. You can be in China and your vehicle in the USA, as long as your vehicle has reception and your phone has decent WiFi or cellular signal, you're good to go.

We started working on it a few months back but it went on the back burner as we're working on some really exciting stuff. We've done a few, but they are semi-plug n play, and require a long range fob kit add on, or smart phone add on as the modules don't work with 3 lock presses of your GKEY, which drives cost up, plus means you'll have an extra fob to carry or take out your phone. Not a biggy, but we wanted to connectorize it plug n play, we ran out of time on other deadline projects set forth. The few that we did..were a nightmare because Toyota changed a few things midway on 2nd gen. We don't want to sell anything that will frustrate customers, it comes back as a negative review, perception and the N2 name is more important to me than taking peoples money, so for now, we opted to maintain the reputation we've worked hard for up to this point. Unhappy customers are bad for business, so we don't want to intentionally put ourselves in that position. Sorry!
