Never Never Modify! Keep it aggravation free!
Don't want all that sh.. The more crap the more stuff breaks. Hell one of the reasons I bought my truck was because it has a old school key and no climate control. Those tailgates will fail when stones, screws, nails get in there. Keep all the stuff simple, less aggravation.

2014. My mistake. Swore it was 15, but I was wrong. Regardless, my statement stands......

EX Taco owner here.... I bought a 2019 Cummins with the self-leveling rear air suspension.
Even with 2,500 lbs of tongue weight it still kept itself level. It SOUNDS great in theory, but in 4 months of ownership and only 12,000 miles I've had the system quit working on me twice now, requiring me to pull a fuse to reset it (minor inconvenience, but still BS for a new truck). There's also been a whole list of quirks, like the backup cameras not working at times, XM radio turning on while on bluetooth, and at only 9,000 miles one issue already with the DPF / DEF system.

There's something to be said for simplicity that just works. Be careful what you ask for.

As someone who does embedded device programming, the sheer quantity of software in a modern car gives me the willies.

My 2005 Dakota had a power driver seat, and it was nice to get a fine tune setting, until my daughter started driving. Having to find that perfect position after she had moved it got annoying. Now I like the manual adjustment clicks. I wouldn't mind a height adjustment though.
