Yup had to double clutch. Automatic fail if you hit a curb or stalled the truck. Skills wise I had straight line backing, offset and the 90. Here you’ll either get the 90 or parallel park. Also had to pre-trip the entire truck and trailer. Everyone else got A,B or C. Haha I figured with my luck I’d get the whole thing and I did. We started with 8 in the class and ended with 3 of us left. So we got a lot of driving time.

here’s the one I learned on.

I did it all solo. No class. But I had 6 yrs experience in class B tanker/Hazmat.

Also auto fail to float. I still disagree with that. Its dumb. Dbl clutch wastes time imo. Fuck it.

My 1st class B skills test I failed cuz i fuxed up the leakdown test anonymous.gif

2nd time good tho. 6 yrs later I made sure to have that down pat during my class A.

passed all mine on the first try. Got a certificate from Stevens Transport and said if I ever want a job show that certificate and it’s mine. They offered me a 2020 KW if I’d come to work for them. I politely declined.

    Awesome dude! Congrats!

I pretty much didn’t lose a thing walking in the door at Coke after working At my last job as a medic for 21 years. In fact I got a raise. That’s pretty sad tbh.

Ah. Been through there many times. Cant elaborate on why since the COC says "nah". But i was in CT for a "Mission" back in 2006. Since left that pattern of beliefs that led me there. But I liked being out east non the less.

With 6 months exp I could switch and get a $20k pay bump. That makes it even worse. Not quite sure I’m ready to be delivering a 53’ trailer and unloading it by myself though. That makes for long days. I’m already running a bigger trailer than most of the plant. The Large store guys run the 48 & 53 footers.

I dont haul 53s. But its classified as 'oversized load' because the boom of the pilers shoots out 10' infront of my truck. And it turns with the trailor not the truck. I have to plan out my routes and run pilot cars because it swings out into traffic on turns so far.

You are absolutely correct. Not until the politicians figure it out then it won't happen. But I can't expound on that here.

So @shadly, when are you going to move to the right coast?
Or is there just too much Fam there.... that I understand.
