    Tcriley08 T4R Beach Buggy Build

This is a simple build thread that I will probably lose track of updating from time to time. I guess I should give a brief summary of the T4Rs history. I bought this T4R from on of my buddys. He had bought it to be a beach buggy and began doing some mods to the basically stock 1997 SR5. After a while of driving it and building it up he experienced a engine bay fire due to some shotty wiring that came in contact with the exhaust manifold. I bought it from him shortly after the fire. It took some work but she is back on the road and all the wiring issues have been addressed. The Chassis has 354xxx miles on it and the engine according to the owner before my buddy has been replaced but unsure of the mileage. This is build will be done on a tight budget due to the fact I am looking at 3rd gen OR Tacomas. That will take priority over this build. On to the mods...

    Exterior
    • Nitto Terra Grapplers 31x10.50
    • Amazon Special Ski Racks

They are great on the trails. I don't even mind the light cast on the hood like some people do.

I did notice that. Nothing a little strategically placed matte black vinyl won't fix.

The Beach Buggy received some much needed attention over the past couple weeks. The new Taco has been stealing the spotlight. Cleaned her up and got her ready for beach trips this summer. Took it out on the sand a couple of times... man forgot how much fun that thing is to drive! Maybe I will get around to starting the build thread on the new Taco soon.

I have not updated this in forever. Here are a few Pics with the new bumper. I picked up the TJM Full Hoop Bumper off of a local guy. PXL_20210103_210955251.jpg IMG_20200208_145350.jpg IMG_20200106_164844.jpg IMG_20200106_164837.jpg
