Bike Carrier over factory tonneau

    Didn't want a receiver bike carrier ( way too expensive), but found out the bike didn't fit behind the front seats even with the front tire removed....Ok...it did but with an extreme amount of futzing around. Wanted to be able to keep the tonneau closed and locked and also the bike. Also didn't want to drill a bunch of holes into the factory cover. Here's my solution...........

    There is a Velcro strap around the rear rim. This was the only hole drilled into the tonneau. Still thinking of fabricating a bracket that will clamp on to the bikes down tube and attach to another L bracket

    Yeah I thought about something similar, but frankly I was having trouble finding a shop to fab the pieces. I was lucky to find a shop with a scrap piece of 3" aluminum angle that they would cut and drill. Cost me $20. If I had a welder, a brake etc I could have done it myself, but right now live the apartment life LOL
