He was being sarcastic because it’s one of the most common asked questions.
Use the search function in the top right corner.
You’ll find several useful threads with the exact setup your asking about.

First of all welcome to TW. Lots of D-bags here who will be jerks. Yes the question has been asked before and if you search you may find the answer you are looking for but I'm going to tell you what I've found from searching. Yes 285/75R16 will fit with the lift kit that you have. The real question is will it fit without rubbing. The answer is maybe. Some swear that their 285/75R16 don't rub even at full lock. Some say that they rubbed everywhere so ended up trimming plastic and doing a cmc (cab mount chop). What also comes in to play is the offset and backspacing of the rim. Lots of good info here, but at the end of the day IMO you won't know till you install your lift and rims and say "fuck I rub gotta trim" or "fuck yeah no rubbing and no trimming".
I just purchased the same lift kit you have and will be installing this weekend with Method Grid 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75 backspace. I will be running 285/70R17. I'm hoping I don't rub but I'm pretty sure it will somewhere. I'm ok with that and will do the cmc if needed. Good luck and don't let the D-bags scare you off. Oh and before you ask about LED headlights I suggest searching first lol.

Assuming your plans didn't change and you did install the kit the weekend you were going to..how did it go? Rubbing, no rubbing, etc.?
    Thank you

I only got the rear lift that weekend and finally got the front shocks and springs today. I guess they were on back order for the springs. I work all week so won't get to install till Monday. I also ended getting the tires installed on my wheels. 285/70R17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I will update you when I get everything installed.

No UCA's. From what I've read so far stock UCA's should work if you don't go any higher than 2.5". Will see how everything works out after install and alignment.

Zero offset and 4.75 back spacing! It’s a 2.5 all around. It looks slightly nose high bc of the driveway slant! Sits and rides amazing!
