Tater, later tonight I’ll tell you about a guy I know that burnt a $200k tractor to the ground because of this computer shit they got on these tractors anymore.

I put an aftermarket in so that I could have Bluetooth and at the time iPod hookup.

Tater there was a guy who lives on a farm near me who bought a brand new 300+ hp John Deere tractor. I believe it was a 7310R, with loader and duals front and rear. He had owned it about a week when he was burning some brush piles that had been cleared from the fence rows. As he was pushing up the brush piles an alarm would go off in the cab, but then would clear. Well of course he had got a stack of manuals when he bought the tractor but he didn’t read any of them. He has farmed all his life and did very well at it. Later as he was pushing up a pile the alarm went off but right when the loader was over the pile the tractor shut off. Well the front tires caught fire first, several attempts to restart the tractor failed. He bailed out of the cab and the tractor was fully engulfed and a total loss.

Come to find out that alarm he was ignoring was a oxygen sensor. As the tractor went into the thick smoke of the fire, the oxygen the tractor was taking in was low so the alarm sounded but as he backed up out of the smoke it would clear. The last time he stayed in too long and it detected it and shut down.

He also had not got the insurance on it yet.

 

Oh, geez. I bet he felt like a dumbass.

I hope everybody’s day was better than mine was. I could’ve work till 10 tonight and I wouldn’t have finish all my work . Somehow I got the shittiest route.

 

I think the guy who goes around to all our cellars to clean the porta-shitters would say he has the shittiest route...
