For dinner or lunch this place has great beer and food.
If you go east some on 40 you can hit some nice hikes in the Walnut canyon area. Have fun and congrats on the anniversary!

definitely planning on cold weather gear for the lava tubes, the wife gets cold very easily. I'm planning on checking out end of the world on the way back on sunday I think. I'll check out those restaurants as well, thanks for the suggestions

we'll definitely check out beaverstreet at some point, i've been there a couple of time and really like it. I did hear about Walnut canyon area, i'll have to check it out. Thanks for the suggestions as well!

Yes that is grand falls, chocolate falls, and don’t bother heading there now as it isn’t flowing. Best in the spring when snow is melting or during monsoon season to catch it while it’s flowing.

Missing the AZ weather something fierce. It was 117+ over here during the summer and now it's still in the 80s-90s but WAY more humid. As in, it will be 85+ and 70-80% humidity at 9 or 10pm. But then the next day it will be nice and dry at the same temperature.

    The Middle East sucks, y'all.

Someone reached out to me and wanted to take my dad out for a ride in the new Corvette C8.

My dad is the first civilian to ride on the hard top convertible C8. And look who took him for the ride.
This will be on Jay Leno's garage TV show next year. And what a day it was been. So exciting.

After opening in 1975, The Horsemen Lodge quickly became a popular hangout for Babbitt cowboys working on the CO Bar ranch. The steakhouse—named “Horsemen” in the effort to pay homage to the ranching lifestyle—is decorated with authentic cowboy attire, memorabilia, and artwork. This way, The Horsemen Lodge doesn’t just offer a hearty, cowboy-inspired menu, but it also offers an overall Southwestern experience.
We pride ourselves on offering the best steakhouse experience in Northern Arizona, and personally visited farms and ranches throughout the US to ensure that the beef at Horsemen Lodge are the best in Flagstaff- period. The Horsemen Lodge’s premium USDA certified, all natural Black Angus beef is hand-selected by Creekstone Farms to guarantee top quality. We’re proud to offer beef with a 100% vegetarian diet, and an antibiotic and hormone free upbringing. The Creekstone Farms facility is constructed according to Dr. Mary Temple Grandin’s groundbreaking slaughterhouse design, which promotes a more humane upbringing and stress-reducing environment- all leading to a superior steak.

Inner basin is legit full of color right, but the rangers are limiting it to 100 cars at a time so need to get there really early to get in. On the lava tube side of the peaks you could check out the Aspen nature loop trail from snowbowl or just jump on the az trail for a bit.

Been busy with my training for the new gig, but so far I've 100% made the right choice to rejoin the corporate world. I was expecting much more of a call center vibe where you are chained to your phone all day and micromanaged to the second. It's so not that at all. Problem solving within your team is encouraged. All about doing good by our insured's and claimants.

The best news is I learned that once I finish all my onboarding and prove my ability to handle a full workload I get a 6% salary bump within my first 6-9 months.

I was thinking of the Aspen Nature loop for sure, I don't think we'll be up there early enough to get into inner basin
