I seen it. I hate you cannot make adjustments on fly while not in park though. I see alot of complaints about that.

I know most of you guys are 3rd gen in here but for anyone that’s a 2nd gen how in the world do you get the wiring harnesses to fit in behind the headunit without just jamming the HU in there. There is literally no room for all that wiring to fit in there.

Installed today, it was insanely easy once you splice all the correct wires. My back up camera wasn't working at first... The plug wasn't fully seated into the head unit though. Also, the stock speakers sound great now

How did you guys program the steering wheel controls on the Maestro. Starting to think I messed up I did long press as seek and tap as the preset station. Also for the phone buttons I just programmed hang up and answer. Can we program the phone contact list to come up when pushing the phone button like how it was with the stock radio?

Ask and you shall receive. Not as clean as OPs install but it'll do

Looks good. I finally got mine installed too. My metra dash kit didn’t come with the right surround so there is a tiny gap below the radio.

Do the steering wheel controls work with the stereo? Did you add any amps?

Did you figure out how to make the stereo think the parking brake is on?

If you install the bypass you're good
    https://www.amazon.com/MicroBypass-...&pd_rd_r=3fc596fa-7693-4740-9872-c3d33fa7ebea

Yeah they work, I didn't install an amp....yet but plan to, along with a front view camera. Still doing research on the camera to find the best one

The reason why I asked about the by-pass is because I came up with my own solution when I installed a Pioneer DVD receiver in my pop-up camper. I used a proximity sensor from an alarm system and connected it to the emergency brake trigger circuit from the stereo. Cost was $2. Just mounted it on the door into the cabinet where I installed the stereo on the left side. Just had to cycle(open/ close) the door and I could get video displayed on the screen.

Here is my install. Can’t really see the gap as bad. AVH1300-NEX. Backup camera, Apple CarPlay and XM. Also a Micro Bypass is a must.

Does that have wireless carplay? that's been my favorite feature so far. The music sounds clear as day with it

Has anyone installed a front camera with this? Thinking that’s my next thing to do.

yeah, love mine! I came to the taco world from a 2 door jeep wrangler so needless to say, I wasnt used to a hood twice the size of the jeeps. Now I can actually park without getting out to see that I'm still 4 feet away from the car in front of me lol

E0246FB4-ECCF-4175-860B-5182914B43E5.jpg Finished my radio install. Got the AVIC-W8500NEX with Maestro and all the add ins necessary thanks to this thread. Spent a lot of time on the harness, running wires, and making pig tails in case in the future I need a 12v and Ground(ready to go). Found an auxiliary usb / hdmi mount that fits perfectly in the cigarette lighter socket. Ran the USB cable from the Maestro from the back to under the dash so I can flash it again if need be. Special thanks to @destin_meeks for taking time out of his day to answer my dumb questions and showing me some things. With the mount I can connect hdmi and android auto if need be.

    I’m running an Echomaster cam-tgl

it’s on the pricey side, but I am an installer so I can’t say I paid retail price

any camera will work as long as
    1) you can mount it where you want,
    2) it has the option to be mirrored. Some cameras that don’t have the mirror/reverse image option aren’t suitable for front cameras because the image will be flipped (stuff on the left shows on the right, etc)
