Leak near trans.

    Once you see a leak, the floodgates will stay open. No seal conditioner will swell up the gasket at that point. My rear main seal started leaking at around 60K miles. I had mine fixed under warranty, but my dealer showed me the invoice and it was around $800.00. Unless you can fix it yourself, you've gotta pay to play.

    overfilling oil can definitely cause blown seals. But it needs to be a gross amount over.

    I was quoted a similar price.
    I don’t think I’ll regret just getting it fixed.
