Sorry to bring back up an old thread, but which size ready ramps are you guys running? the 90x50? Also can they be positioned to be on the inside as a cargo organizer? Like the pic attached?

Anyone care to share opinion on who makes the best bed extender for the 2018 Sport? I do care about overall appearance. Looking to haul bikes, kayak, etc.

    Thanks!

OEM. If you can, find the older discontinued version. The rounder one. The newer ones are kinda v-shaped.

I got an OEM one for my 2016 and I love it.

Works great, looks great, and the installation was really easy for a guy who's pretty much all thumbs.

I have the Nissan OEM Sliding Bed Extender. It's made by the same company that makes Toyota's version. Mine has the top tubes cut to allow the extender to slide over the top of the wheel wells.

Toyota does not have a sliding version. The stationary model is exactly the same as the Nissan one except different color.

Thanks much ... one another question. Is there any concern with the bed extender interfering with my tonneau cover if it's flipped inside the bed?

Looking at getting one of these for the Tacoma...happen to have a photo of it in your bed?

I didn't like the cut tubes but if you are able to slide it to the rear of the truck over the wheel wells then it may work OK for me with my TC and bed rack above.

Since it is a Nissan extender technically, which hardware did you use to install? I'm looking at buying one from craigslist with no hardware of course... thanks

The hardware is all from AMP Research. They make the bed extenders for Toyota and Nissan. I had to purchase the mounting brackets and the Toyota style barrel kit. That was it.

    Legit loads in those photos.

Which hardware did you go with exactly and what is a Toyota style barrel kit?

The one you have looks just like the one I may buy in the next day or two..

Will I be able to slide that to the rear of my bed over the wheel wells and under the TC with the TC closed? Looks like it may be possible but close?

I bought the cheapest style mounting bracket. The bed extender inserts pointing straight up at about 90°. The barrel latch kit is replacement pegs that screw into the straps. The straps latch in the locks on your tailgate to keep the bed extender secured in the down position.

Ok, but you still needed the mounting brackets that go into the truck bed walls, right?

I don't even know if the one I might buy has straps even...
