What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Nice! Off subject, but did you add the tracks to your shell, or were they factory installed? Any details/pictures would be appreciated as I'm looking for some tracks for my Leer XQ cap.

 

They look a tad thinner then my caliraised, I like that.

I got mine out of the bed of a Tacoma on the dealers lot. LOL!

 

the track were factory installed. I want to add a rack at some point. I don’t have any good picture now.

 

I removed the TOYOTA letters and TRD emblem from my faux Pro grille, sprayed them with 5 coats of base 1H5, 4 coats of clear, then reinstalled them on the grille. Pics on the truck sometime tomorrow.



EFIT: Oh, I also painted the base of the first T and A flat black as the faux pro grille had the bases of those two letters molded in the same gunmetal as the letters themselves.

 

Finally got around to installing my sound deadening in all 4 doors. Still have to do the rear behind the back seats and floors but still happy with how it's turning out thus far.

 

is this hard to do? did you have instructions on how to take everything apart?

 

There are several videos on YouTube. Time consuming but fairly easy. Get clips from eBay or Amazon before you do it. You’re probably going to break a couple I used the RAMM audio system. Doors and rear. Very happy. Definitely worth it.

I got the bolt on.

 

It was fairly easy to do, just need a little patience and make sure you have gloves! Learned the hard way after the front door panel that gloves are a necessity lol. But really, an exacto knife, scissors, screwdriver,10 mm socket is all you really need.

As for taking apart the panels, oem audio had a pretty detailed video on how to take off the door panels. Super simple really.
