Hi guys! New to the forum and I’ve read quite a bit. I’m looking to gain two inches in height and level my taco. Any suggestions which way to do this without breaking the bank or altering the ride? Thanks for any info you can provide.

So I installed the Eibach Pro Truck lift Kit stage 1 along with Wheelers 1.5” Add-A-Leaf and I love it! In my opinion the best suspension lift for its cost. Check it out on YouTube. “Extreme Terrain Tacoma” does a great video on it

For that budget, 5100s all around, wheelers progressive AAL in the rear, leave the stock OL leaf in for the full 2” lift. Can always do 1/4” top plate spacers up front for an extra half inch if needed.

just for looks? Wise keeping it under 2” either way.

What’s the biggest size tire I can have installed with the Eibach pro truck lift set at 2” level? I would really like to have the Fuel D569 Vapor rims but they only start at size 17. My Tacoma off-road currently has 16’s

265/70/17 If you don’t want to trim or do the cab mount chop (CMC.) if you’re willing to do that you can move up to a 285/70/17.

Awesome sandman! 265/70/17 it is. This size won’t rub on the mud flaps will they?

Stay with stock wheels if you don’t want any rubbing or issues. Also, you’re regret those when you’re no longer 17 ha.

Good chance they will rub the mud flap if you go to a bigger tire and more aggressive wheel offset than factory. I don't have mudflaps on mine so no personal experience. Just what I have read on here.

Not sure what BuzzardGottaEat is talking about regretting. Tons of guys run the 265/70/17 and love them.

Eh, just busting your chops haha. Personal taste is one thing. But in all practicality OEM wheel width and backspacing leads to the least rubbing issues. Greater offset and width can look cool. Do your own balance of wants/needs assessment ha.

So, after reading much of the forum on the topic of lifting/leveling Im left with one last question before i pull the trigger. The Eibach pro lift kit sounds great. Then i asked myself the question of which shock is better. Eibach or bilstein 5100's? What if I had the best of both worlds and please fire away with your opinions. Here's the setup: My truck comes stock with bilstein 4600s i believ e? So, what if I kept my stock shocks and added the eibach 2" lift spring and got my 2" from the springs? Then add a toytec 1" rear lift and possibly a differential kit. Any thoughts?

I am new to this stuff, but the more I research the more I am puzzled. I am adding a brush guard and winch. All I want is to pick it back up to stock height. I also have 4600's, and was considering going to 5100's and use the clip to pick the front up, but is that really accounting for the added weight? I have heard springs are used to account for added weight as opposed to just lift. They will pick it up and I can keep my stock struts. Sorry, I jumped in cause you mentioned my exact scenario.
