Rear axle leak

    Any recommendations on a gasket and or anything else I may need to know before fixing this?

    No I don’t have photos right now, it’s currently a monsoon outside right now. It’s coming from the little plug looking spot on the face of the axle cover.

    The front face or rear face? Sounds like maybe a fill plug leaking...

    Stock. EZ pass.Dump pass.Inspection sticker.Convict printed lic.plates.FG cap.
    Diff plugs require aluminum crush washers. Probably left out at last gear oil change. $4 ea. At dealer. 12 pack diffs, trans and case assortment on Amazon $10.

    Rear differential oil capacity vary but it looks like you have extra long wheelbase DC pre runner. If so 2 and 4wd with diff lock 3.1 qt.without diff lock2.6 qt. SAE 90 above 0 F. Below 0 F. SAE 80 or 80w/90 Hypoid gear oil.
