That's not going to clean carbon buildup on the throttle body or carbon deposits in the engine, running it through the fuel tank is good for the fuel system though and injectors. To clean carbon out of the throttle body and engine with Seafoam you want to run it through the intake in small sprays while the engine is running at ~1200 RPM. They make a spray can version that works well for this

If the throttle stop is adjusted correctly it should prevent the throttle plate from wearing the throttle bore. If not set correctly the plate will slam into the bore every time you let off the gas.

I'm sure most high milers can assume that the throttle stop has worn along with the throttle bore? I feel like the right thing to do on my 225k is a light spray and pray

I just went out and drove like a race car for about 10 min and the idle went back to normal after removing throttle body and cleaning.

The throttle stop screw should be checked and adjusted as routine maintenance. OK, I'm guilty I don't check mine.

    Everything but the driveshaft. B03A - 410
I managed to clean the TB and IACV during the engine job without causing a problem. I had the TB off the engine while cleaning it. The battery was out of the truck during all of that time. Hooked it all back up and it started right up. It idles so good now that I don't want to touch anything.

Another idea... I may be wrong here.
If OP fully removed the Throttle Body for cleaning, that would've required disconnecting the throttle cable that connects to the gas pedal.
Is it possible to reinstall the cable incorrectly and generate a higher idle rpm?
