Looks like I'll be replacing a wall and maybe part of a ceiling... Bathroom exhaust sprung a leak and it's not pretty.

looks like a major water leak. I’d shut off water until you can rip the drywall off and investigate

Exhaust and vents don't do that unless you have a leak on the roof. If your vent filled with water and did that you'd have bigger issues.

Thanks for the feedback. It is definitely a leak from the flashing on the roof. I fixed it once but I guess I did a poor job of it. Hoping homeowners will pick up the bill, but if not... meh :spending:

Yup. right where the flashing is. I fixed it before... Just not well enough.

Thanks, but it's coming from the roof, not the water main... That would be coming up, not down.

You are welcome to come and inspect the leak on my roof, the supposed vent filled with water, and bigger issues that I have, and tell me I don't know what the fuck I am doing.

@scottalot Fuckin A changing the oil on this 4runner is a whore and a half.didnt help that the last person to do it cross threaded all the skid plate bolts and must have put 13 extra ugga duggas on the oil drain plug and filter housing. I had to use a breaker bar to get them both loose. I called to see where the 2nd smaller oring went on the filter housing since the last person never used one. Damn Fred Anderson...

Hmmmm guess I should stop building and hire a computer geek to tell me how plumbing vents can defy physics and fill with water. Or an exhaust leaks. Oh but wait it's the roof penetrations that are leaking not those 2 things

That's why I ask computer geeks when I need computer help but don't blast them when they tell me something that I know nothing about.

That's my thought. Crazy bastards. When the drain but finally broke loose I thought for sure it sheared off.

Yup. I called to give them an ear full but realized it was Sunday... Sadly the new truck still has too many free oil changes to take advantage of. And at 9+ qts of oil, I'm not passing up the free ones!
