Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

So I have techstream installed but as much as I read through all of the posts regarding the .cuw files the less confident I am that I have the right one. I have a 16 taco and upgraded to 0B04. does anyone know if I can upgrade to a newer eco version or am I stuck with 0B04 as the newest for my ecu.

Tried to setup the handheld today. Flashed back to stock to load stock tune to handheld but got a protocol alert and could not continue so it looks like they dont have the software updated yet. Will hopefully be ready to go when Mat release's final 2.0 . So i am going to leave the stock tune and see how long i can go before i have to tune back one of the 4.88 tunes . It will be nice to feel how much Mat really has improved the drive ability of our trucks!

 

An original dongle user here. Guess I need to figure out how to update my 2017 Tacoma from 04B02 to 04B04 so I can use the new 2.0 pcm.

Look for a post from @tonered and in his sig, you will find the links needed to get you to the 04 calibration so you can use all the files. Its fairly easy, install TS (link in his sig), grab the CUW file approproiate for your model year, and run the CUW. Many have done it and I myself have flashed 10-15 trucks in total with no issues.

 

There are several TacomaWorld citizens that have volunteered to help with this. Posting your location is a good first step towards getting help.
