Hey guys. From what I’ve been able to gather is that 265/75r16 is the largest tire for a 16 in wheel I can fit on stock suspension for my 18 Tacoma. I am also looking to upgrade the stock steel wheels and was wondering what offset wheel I’ll need for a 16 in wheel to have lock to lock steering without rubbing?

Aftermarket 16s typically come in a 8" rim width. Offset, without the context of rim width, means nothing.

Stock backspace on your wheel is 5".
    For an 8" rim width, you'll need a +12 offset or 'less'(e.g. 0, -10, -12, -18, etc.).
'Less' offset will give more poke, but has a greater chance of rubbing.
If you are going to eventually lift, I suggest 0 or 'less' offset.

Word of caution on shopping for 16s...
Some will not clear brake calipers because of spoke design. There's really no practical way of knowing, short of mounting it. Wheel specs are useless in this regard.

I'm running 265/75/16s with -12 offset wheels and 1.25" spacers. I had a slight rub at the front fenders when turned all the way. But I'm also an 06 2nd gen. I'm not sure how much different our fender lines are. I don't get any rub anywhere else.
