I was wondering how much I would be able to make if I was to part out a v6 m/t 4x4 double cab. Wanted to know before deciding to give to insurance.

If you have the time and skills to take of all the salvageable parts you could make some cash. People always need parts for these trucks. Also helps that you're in California you probably have no rust issues. Then when its stripped sell as is or worse case scenario scrap whats left.

They are so sought after, sometimes just for the parts. So much that nearly anything can be sold from these trucks. So you'll probably get more than what they will give you. It will take longer to part it out yourself but you'll get more $$$ in the end

oh and if the frame is good, this part only is like gold here up north. Especially if you are from california or other southern regions where there is next to zero rust

DC 5 speed swapped? I'm sure you could sell all associated with the 5 speed swap for some decent moolah

Gonna need some more posts to sell anything off it on here. Shouldnt be hard, just sit and stay awhile ;). Bucket seats and center console will be the first to go.

Take the shell off and then give it to insurance.

Sure, you could *probably* make a few bucks on it, assuming you sell all the useable parts off it. Then you're still left with a pile of garbage in your driveway.

    For me? Not worth it.

Hand it over to insurance or donate it to a local charity. A lot of them have those car donation programs where they take your car, running or not. This one is most definitely NOT running, lol...

I'd call the insurance company and see how their process goes. I doubt they'll have issue doing this

If you can handle it logistically, you should absolutely keep it. There are five pick-n-pull-like yards around me and not one ever has a Taco or 4x4 4Runner.
Wouldn't the tranny and t-case alone more than pay for your trouble?

Did you say Manual Double Cab? I assume you did that yourself, because no Double Cab came from the factory with a 5MT.

    4 run, 2 don't
Must've done a full blown swap cause he lists the truck as being a Prerunner in his details.
